In traditional Korean architecture, a sarangchae is an independent building located closest to the main gate, serving as a reception area for guests.

Hwadamchae, as the sarangchae and first themed garden of Hwadamsup, embodies the philosophy of the LG Sangnok Foundation. It will be a place bustling with conversation throughout the year and a cultural complex of Hwadam Botanic Garden that offers a fresh perspective on the garden’s many stories.

Visitors will be able to appreciate nature as well as people and encounter intimate tales of the forest from the perspectives of artists through various artworks.
