Hwadam
Harmonious Conversation
"Life can only exist when humans and nature are in harmony."
Hwadam Botanic Garden is an arboretum established and operated by the LG Evergreen Foundation as part of its many public service projects. The project was approved in April 2006 to be constructed on 165,265㎡ of land located in Doung-ri, Docheok-myeon in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province. Officially opened in 2013, Hwadam Botanic Garden is home to 16 themed gardens and around 4,000 species of native and imported plants. Hwadam is not only a tourist spot but also an on-site research facility that aims to restore endangered plants and animals to their natural environment. We hope that the LG Evergreen Foundation's beliefs will reach beyond the natural environment and be reflected in the hearts of all people for a greener future.
A Cordial Invitation to Hwadam
There's no better medicine for the mind and body than nature. Green leaves whisper as they dance gently in the breeze. Birds sing tenderly and put a spring in our step. Living in a concrete jungle, we often forget the many simple pleasures of the natural world. Return to nature that has been meticulously preserved and nurtured at Hwadam Botanic Garden and breathe in nature's wondrous energy to your heart's content. A place to heal your mind and body and rejuvenate relationships as you walk hand-in-hand with family and friends. Hwadam Botanic Garden is the culmination of the hope and vision of the LG Evergreen Foundation for a botanical retreat. Hwadam Botanic Garden doesn't belong to any one person it is a forest for all those who love and want to be with nature. It's a forest for all future generations that we must protect and pass on. Stroll through Hwadam Botanic Garden, connect with friends and family, and discover the secrets of the forest linked from tree to tree.
